graphic tee heaven

long gone are the days of my preppy style and my navy stripes have been replaced by graphic tees; usually skulls to be seem especially badass.

while i was waiting in the extremely long line at zara, i spotted those studded beauties and my heart immediately fell in love. i had to get them in a size up but that's what socks are for, right?

next i went to my favourite shoe store, little burgundy, with one goal in mind... i was going to cross off "buy a pair of jeffrey campbell heels" from my summer bucket list. i must have caught my mom on a good day because she bought me two! on the left are the beige lace tan lita and on the right are the black kidskin foxy wood.

to me, this outfit is perfect. here we have all three of my greatest loves at the moment combined into the perfect summer ensemble. first, we start off with the necessary skull t-shirt. then to tie in the lace pattern from the skull, we add a pair lace shorts. finally, to add a bit of surprise to the cliché edgy yet girly outfit, we add a touch of neon yellow and voila! perfection.

shirt - forever 21 / shorts - TNA / sunnies - ray-ban

this look is an example of when i base my outfit on my mood. on this particular day, i was far from impressed by the lack of blue skies and i decided to go for a grey on black look.  

this jacket is just perfect for making a boring outfit into something half-decent.  the details on it and the cut of the jacket add a bit of edge to the usual trench coat style and it perfectly embodies my style.
